Study North BC is combined initiative between the BC Minster of Advanced Education, Skills and Training with Northern BC colleges and Universities; University of Northern British Columbia, College of New Caledonia, Northwest Community College, and Northern Lights College. The united effort created a campaign called Study North BC, as a means to persuade students to attend a Northern BC education institute.

The video commercial showcases real students doing their post-secondary schooling and enjoying adventurous activities. The video is an inspirational and motivational tool to be used with the campaign. We shot the footage over a 4-day filming trip in Terrace, Prince Rupert, Prince George, and Dawson’s Creek. The objective was to equally showcase each institutes’ unique education offers and local attractions while providing an honest look of life in northern BC. Using voice over testimonials as the basis of the story combined with a youthful, upbeat soundtrack and beautifully stunning slow-motion shots reinforces the great opportunities students have attending post-secondary in the north.
